Operator / Lead Hand

The Equipment Operator/Lead Hand performs skilled work and supervisory duties for both summer and winter road maintenance. This work includes a variety of both equipment and labour intensive tasks. The Operator/Lead Hand is responsible for Operational Support in addition to road maintenance, including supervisory and coordination roles for construction projects; training of seasonal and summer staff; and monitoring and inspections for construction and maintenance projects.
