Yellowhead County FCSS is governed by an Advisory Board that meets 6 times per year (January, March, May, July, September, November) on the third Tuesday of the month. This advisory board consists of one County Councillor (appointed by the Council) and 6 appointed community members from throughout the county representing a variety of communities and demographics. Terms for appointed members are for three years.
Community Development Support that is provided by the FCSS program to non-profits in the area include:
- Volunteer Appreciation
- Board development workshops, training and consultation.
- Assistance with budgeting, grant applications and related supports to community based volunteer boards.
- Program development.
- Liaison with provincial, federal and regional government and agencies to ensure local access to government programs.
- Facilitation and Community Mapping development.
