Yellowhead County wants to ensure that we maintain a clean, healthy and sustainable environment for our community.
WILDWOOD, EVANSBURG, NITON & PEERS
Recycling Drop-off Centres are located beside the Peers Multiplex, Evansburg Arena, Wildwood Fire Hall, and the Niton Fire Hall. Goods collected at these sites are:

- Clear glass
- Newspaper and magazines
- Corrugated cardboard & box Board
- Office Paper
- Low-Grade Paper
- Compost (Seasonal - May to September) - Evansburg and Wildwood.
- Plastic Recycling is now available in Evansburg!

EDSON RECYCLING CENTRE & TAKE-IT-OR-LEAVE-IT
One block south of Highway 16 on 1 Ave. located behind the Provincial Building. In addition to basic recycling, you can also drop off batteries, ink cartridges, cell phones, and electronic and toxic waste for proper and safe processing. The take-it-or-leave-it is a great place to drop off or pick up lightly used goods that can have a second life.
EDSON AREA
Turn North off of HWY 16 onto RR 131. Follow gravel road North to the end and the Transfer Station is on the right.
HINTON AREA
There are numerous recycling bins located within Hinton.
TRANSFER STATIONS
Help us by doing your part and deposit all refuse, old tires, used oil, plastics and other recyclable items at your nearest transfer site. It's convenient and easy and you'll feel glad that you did!
