Due to excessive moisture conditions across the County nearly half of the crops have not yet been harvested. For this reason, producers are reminding recreational users and hunters to be aware that driving over unharvested crops will cause negative impacts.

Yellowhead County Council declared a state of Agricultural Disaster due to the current condition of many of the crops in the county. Council based the decision on recent crop reports where data showed excessive moisture on many crops in Yellowhead County.

Leaman Rd Bridge Repairs Completed

Structural repairs to the Leaman bridge (Leaman Road Range Road 110 north of Highway 16) have been completed. Weight restriction will be changed back to 15 ton on Dec 29, 2016. The contractor will be back in the next few weeks to finish some cosmetic work.

Mountain Pine Beetle Surveys are being conducted on pine trees within Yellowhead County this spring. Survey crews will require access to private property to conduct surveys and will be able to provide identification upon request.
